Earlier this year, we selected three single barrel bourbons and we're so excited to finally share them with our audience. We can't think of a better way to honor and celebrate #Father'sDay this year than by celebrating these classic bourbons that are made at the largest, independent, family-owned bourbon distillery in the world, Heaven Hill Distillery.
Heaven Hill Distillery was founded by a few investors after the repeal of Prohibition in 1935, including a prominent distiller, Joseph L. Beam, and a member of the Shapira family. As the company developed, the five brothers of the Shapira family bought out the other investors. Joe Beam remained as Master Distiller, along with his youngest son, Harry. Descendants of the Shapira brothers own and operate the company even today and it is now the Amongst two of the most famous brands in their portfolio are Elijah Craig and Larceny Bourbon.
