Bendt Distilling Co.

BENDT Distilling Co. is located in Old Town Lewisville and is one of the few female-owned distilleries in Texas and the US. In 2015, BENDT remodeled and moved into a former Piggly Wiggly grocery store. At this new location, they could focus heavily on local ingredients and put even more emphasis on sustainability. Their whiskey is made from local, North Texas grain. It utilizes the bright Texas sun as a renewable energy source - over 40% of the distillery roof is covered in active solar panels! Additionally, spent grain is sifted (liquid removed), with grain solids then taken to local farms to feed Texas cattle.
