Liz’s wine career began in the Summer of 2011 as the recipient of the Jimmy Mancbach Scholarship, which provided harvest and winemaking internships with two of the top wineries in America: Au Bon Climat in Santa Barbara CA, under the tutelage of Jim Clendenen, inductee of the James Beard Foundation’s “Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America,” and Qupe, where she worked with Bob Lindquist, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rhone Rangers. After gaining experience in wine production, Liz returned east, and began consulting for the Private Client department Zachys Wine and liquor retail and auction House in Scarsdale, NY. In the Summer of 2013, Liz accepted a position with a start-up fine wine auction house for Los Angeles based Wally’s Wine and Spirits, where she eventually became a Senior Specialist and Consignment Manager focusing on appraising fine wine and spirits collections. She then moved to Wine Library as the Italian wine and Champagne buyer. Liz is currently a Masters of Management in Hospitality Candidate at Cornell University due to graduate in 2018 (and has been drinking her way through the Finger Lakes!). She also holds a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Advanced certification.
